Showcasing LLEN at the NSW EAL/D Teachers’ Conference

A conference of almost 200 EAL/D teachers provided the ideal opportunity to promote LLEN. 

The NSW Department of Education held an annual conference for EAL/D teachers on Thursday 14th August at Parramatta. The conference aimed to reinvigorate awareness of the role of language in learning and to strengthen knowledge of language. The presenters highlighted areas within the curriculum where a strengthened focus on language would support learning.

Presenters Jo Rossbridge and Marg Turnbull both promoted LLEN in their keynote addresses calling on teachers to register online to access the website resources, professional learning, expert advice and research evidence.
